“If you were to press your heart close up against somebody else’s heart eventually your hearts will start beating at the same time. And two little babies in an incubator, their hearts will beat at the same time. Love that. So if you have somebody in your life that is prone to anxiety, like myself,…
Surveyed couples who stayed together 10+ years…some interesting findings haha.
While I probably can be considered one of the students who hasn’t ”matured enough to know themselves, much less what they want out of a romantic partner,” I think where I am in my life has brought me to understand that some of the greatest bonds I’ve witnessed didn’t grow alone from the much coveted four letter word but a Three Letter Name!
Just trusting that He will provide in His own time :]
P.S. But I guess whoever I end up with in the long haul should jump outta a plane with me to reinforce our dopamine circuits and need for self-expansion lol
A memoir written by a 13 year old about his dog, Peanut:
Dogs are not just Man’s Best Friend. They are more. Like family they love you and take care of you and protect you. And you treat him just the same. A dog waits by the doors and windows to greet you once you get home. A dog is a stress, sorrow, pain and sadness reliever. A dog makes you feel happy when you’re sad. Unlike humans, dogs are always there for you. Even if they could speak they would ask for nothing in return but love.
“Once the storm is over you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” - Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
“If you’re feeling frightened about what comes next, don’t be. Embrace the uncertainty. Allow it to lead you places. Be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind as you create your own path towards happiness, don’t waste time with regret. Spin wildly into your next action. Enjoy the present, each moment, as it comes; because you’ll never get another one quite like it. And if you should ever look up and find yourself lost, simply take a breath and start over. Retrace your steps and go back to the purest place in your heart… where your hope lives. You’ll find your way again.”—Everwood (via julie911)
